Case studies in transformation and problem-solving
Throughout my career, I've specialized in solving complex technology challenges that others couldn't solve. The following case studies highlight some of my most significant transformation initiatives and their business outcomes.
As co-founder of Liberty Supply, I faced the challenge of building a complete technology infrastructure from the ground up before the company could begin operations. We needed systems that would enable order processing and full operational capability on day one, despite having no established vendor relationships or customers.
I architected a comprehensive technology stack centered around SAP Business One, with custom-developed add-ons to address specific business needs. Additionally, I pioneered the use of AI for product content generation and marketing outreach, implementing solutions that would have been impossible with traditional methods.
"The AI-driven content generation system we implemented accomplished in months what would have taken years with conventional approaches."

State Supply was an 80-year-old HVAC distributor using paper-based processes and outdated technology. The company had attempted an ERP implementation twice before, both of which had failed. Growth had stagnated, and the company needed to modernize to remain competitive.
I led a complete digital transformation, beginning with rescuing the failed SAP Business One implementation. I redesigned core business processes, implemented integrated e-commerce capabilities, and developed data-driven decision-making tools. Critically, I navigated significant organizational resistance to change through targeted training and change management.
"The transformation wasn't just about technology—it was about changing deeply ingrained business practices while preserving the company's core values and brand heritage."

Ben Tire, a $160M tire distributor with over 500 employees across 30+ locations, had invested three years in an ERP and POS implementation that had failed to deliver results. The company needed to modernize its operations to support the CEO's ambitious growth targets from $50M to $300M.
I conducted a comprehensive assessment of the failed implementation, identifying both technical issues and organizational barriers. I restructured the project approach, implemented a dynamic pricing system, and developed the company's first business intelligence platform. Throughout the process, I managed significant cultural resistance in a traditional family business environment.
"By understanding both the technical requirements and the business goals, we transformed what had been a costly failure into a significant competitive advantage."

As the nation's first independent energy transmission company, ITC Transmission faced the challenge of building enterprise-scale infrastructure to support operations across 1000+ sites in 6 states. The company also needed to navigate complex regulatory requirements while supporting rapid growth and a successful IPO.
I led the technology operations across the enterprise, orchestrating headquarters relocation that included a state-of-the-art control room. I pioneered IT governance frameworks for regulatory compliance and managed the technology aspects of multiple billion-dollar acquisitions. Throughout this period, we were early adopters of virtualization technology.
"Our infrastructure implementation was so impressive that the control room was featured in industry case studies and advertising materials."
